I got around to staining my second panel today. The Gel Stain was a bit tricky to get off, especially when I had to start wiping it off as soon as I finished applying it ๐
but this turned out really good to me!

My test #Wainscote panel is done. It's rough around the edges, and aside from the inconsistent stain, I think it turned out pretty good. I think a slightly lighter stain would better show the #woodburned design. I think proper cabinet grade panels will help, too. I think this going to turn out good!
Genuine question for ant woodworker, cabinet maker, or experienced DIY'er. I'm looking at making custom Wainscote paneling for my house with burned in images. My test panel I recently made had some issues. Does anyone have any tips on making it look better?

My test mini Wainscote panel has its image burned in! It's been sanded and wet sanded in prep for conditioning and stain tomorrow!!

Day two of burning in the design. Getting close to the end! Just a few more things, and it will be ready for final sanding and stain!

Starting to get the image burned into the panel! It's definitely tricky trying to get a consistent line across a large area. The tip kept getting caught or bumped by the changes in the grain. But I'm hopeful that this will turn out good!
