Hit 10,323 words in the third novel of my gritty-cozy Kennedy-Meyer crime series, so I'm about a seventh of the way there. Who knows? Could come out in 2026. But 2027 is a better bet.

Last week was a disaster, #writing -wise. Only managed a few hundred words. Hopefully back in form this week. Of late, I've been hitting over 4000 per week, but I'd settle for a solid 2500 this week.

Another solid week, ending with 1,162 words yesterday and well over 4,000 for the week. Approaching 20K total. Didn't expect to hit this pace till school was back in session. Now believe I can finish a first draft before Christmas.

That's it. I'm done. My umpteenth proofing-turned-editing session is done. Now I create the e-version and I format the print. Both covers are ready save some tweaking. Publication early September.
