Yesterday we hosted our first ever Community Easter Egg Hunt! 🐣

QR codes were hidden around Brookhouse, each revealing a letter that together formed a special Easter phrase. We gave our Easter eggs to people who cracked the code!

As part of our partnership with ITV called UPRISER, last Thursday Year 11 took part in an ITV Apprenticeship Panel!

The students had the unique opportunity to meet current apprentices at ITV, ask questions, and find out lots of useful information. 🎥✨

Last week at Year 9 Parents’ Evening, our Student Council launched their new Eco Refill Shop! ♻️

They’re encouraging us to cut down on plastic by refilling bottles, with profits reinvested into new products and donated to a local charity at the end of the year.

We welcomed Salford City Council into school with our Student Council, discussing the Eccles Town Centre Masterplan! 🏢

This was session 2 of 3, where students explored ideas for regenerating the town centre and contributed thoughtful, creative insights. 👏

Yesterday, we welcomed Salford City College into our Y10 assembly to introduce the upcoming Y10 College Sampling Day on 19th June. 💡

This free event includes lunch and offers a fantastic chance to explore college life, try hands-on activities, and sample courses! 💫

It's Pi Day at SCA! 📐

Students in Years 7-9 took part in a range of activities from their Pi Day booklet such as: reciting as many digits of Pi as possible and even a lunchtime darts challenge where they aimed to hit each digit of Pi in order. 🎯

It's British Science Week!

Today we had a lunchtime session: what makes fireworks glow? Students took part in a flame test experiment and discovered how different elements burn with brilliant colours over a Bunsen burner. 🔥
