CP and CS worked hard to capture the color and design of the tall tower that CP created. Notice the different drawings from different perspectives - they inspired friends to stand up and look down inside the structure, too. Great work! #WeBuildInK

OAM: I made a jet. When it flies upside down the jets flip. It can stick to the wall & fly sideways.
DS: I created a jet. Mine can go sideways and downwards and flip (demonstrating a loop).
JC: This is a robot and this is a person. They are doing battle.

ER worked hard on his robot creation. He ran into several problems with materials while following his plan, and asked for help but did not give up. When he was finished, he explained what changes he’d made to make the robot work. #WeBuildInK

MS asked to share his creation and illustration.
“I wanted it to fall down. I wanted some masterpiece in it too. When the domino track fell down, it would fall too and be really cool.”

EP explained today’s structure and her earlier explorations.
“I made lots of creations out of Jenga blocks. I drew them in the K2 class book and I made my own book and drew some in it.” #WeBuildInK

On the second day of the building challenge, more students came to join the exploration of building, recreating already drawn designs, and drawing new designs. Some students included famous buildings in their designs, too. The creativity abounds! #WeBuildInK

OAM asked to share & agreed to an added challenge of drawing his creation. The bottom circles are wheels.
“I couldn’t do the base because it’s too tricky to draw. I didn’t add the colours because what if I want to use different colours next time?” Good question - would it be trickier? 🧐

The bridge and ramp building continues in k2, as more student become interested in what’s going on with the big blocks. We saw more cooperation as opposed to competition for the blocks, too, as students discussed their observations and collaborated to “build better.” Inspiring! #WeBuildInK

The bridge and ramp building exploration continued today, with the group using what they learned about stability yesterday to help them build their designs today. Here DI drew the ramp once it was working smoothly, with a tunnel added. #WeBuildInk

A wonderful collaboration emerged this morning, on our first day back for 2025. Over the play and learn period, some core players stayed while others joined for a part. OAM drew one of the early versions, to help remember how to rebuild another day. #WeBuildInK
