I don't know how I came across Don Marquis' poetry, but I did, while going to school at #westernwashingtonuniversity in the early 90s. I immediately loved it. Eventually I acquired a very nice copy of "the lives and times of archy and mehitabel". The whole book is here; this poem is on page 436.
