MODIS image over Whakatane volcano in N New Zealand, it show a small plume.

Large haze off the coast of NW #NewZealand. Not obvious apparent source. I suspect activity from #Whakatane 🌋 although daytime image from MODIS does not show a large plume that would justify such large haze. But I could be wrong on this, maybe it is the volcano. I do not think it is smoke.

I couldn’t find any cats.
