Image from Fragonards The progress of love, a series of wall sized paintings. In this painting we see the woman sitting in a dramatic garden holding a crown of roses above her lovers head while an artist sketches them. It is in the rococo style with especially dramatic chiaroscuro and lush brush strokes on the abundant foliage.
My first #storyaday short was inspired by the reopened Frick Museum's Fragonard room. It features a trio of feral putti (cherubs) infesting a new apartment in a repurposed church and an aro/ace squad determined to re-home them. Love it when an ending surprises me.
