Why We Keep Fighting for Abandoned Animals Animal rescue is one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever been a part of—but it’s also one of the hardest. It’s emotionally exhausting, physically demanding, and often financially draining. There are days when it feels like no matter how much you give, it’s never enough. We see things most people don’t: animals abandoned, neglected, sick, or injured—completely dependent on someone stepping in to care.
