"Finished" Worlds Without Number. I'll link my final thoughts post on my tumblr, but I came out of it having mixed feelings.
I see the osr in there, but not any more so than most other modern fantasy heartbreaker games.

As a fan of TTRPGs, I feel you. There are so many different systems that are great for different types of games. #GURPS is my favorite system, but I've also recently run #Pathfinder2e, and #WorldsWithoutNumber and they are great for different things. If you only play one system, you are missing out.

A series of sketches mostly inspired by work done within the framework of Kevin Crawford's Worlds Without Number RPG. The right is dominated by a comic of sorts, wherein roguish human idiot Stabs McGee expresses a desire to steal an idol made of solid orichalcum, despite the objections of his party members (some sort of anthropomorphic lemuresque healer and a silkie raptorfolk mechanic) who need it to solve a puzzle. Below, McGee travels through a map of a mad king's tomb complex (made with Dungeon Scrawl), saying the following as he travels: "Huh, the idol's getting pretty warm." "It's starting to vibrate now, awesome!" "It's burning my hands. I should probably put it in my pack." "It's really thrashing around back there, huh." Eventually, the idol explodes. A doodle of McGee's limbs scattered around a pile of ash is labeled: "here lies Stabs McGee III, felled by 8d6 thunder/entropy damage" The center of the the sketch is dominated by an eldritch alien woman who may or may not be wearing a horned mask. She floats in the air, and her garb is elaborate, if scanty. Stabs McGee says "I'm gonna seduce this eldritch being who claims she's a goddess lol" The eldritch goddess responds (in a menacing, indecipherable font) "I'm a lesbian, you dipshit." She proceeds to summon a singularity inside McGee, whose torso is swallowed by it. He says, "aw nuts"; a caption reads: "Stabs McGee VII: consumed by a singularity summoned by a hot alien babe (no means no, especially coming from an Imperator) A magic hammer whose head is shaped like a butt is labeled: "Callipygian Weapon +3: Lucky Shocking Toxic great hammer" On the left, there is a human woman, a male human face, a skeleton labeled: "Skeleton Bartender: Runs the skeleton bar", a rhomboid horror with tentacles, the lemur mage, and Stabs McGee being flung from a white sphere directly into a black one. Captions: "Stabs McGee II: d-e-d"; "Sphere of Repulsion: The Reclusive One"; "Sphere of Attraction: The Ravenous One".
Sketch and shitpost based on some Worlds Without Number worldbuilding stuff, and resurrecting a one-off species from some eight-ish years ago.
I did this instead of being productive. I swear I'll finish that dungeon someday...

Gotta finish that #WorldsWithoutNumber dungeon I've been building on and off for the past couple of years. It was supposed to be done by Christmas 2023, but the most outspoken member of the group refused to learn anything but D&D5E, so I focused on other things.
Gonna just run #WWN online, maybe.

Worlds Without Number is quite the tome! It's no Mage 20th Anniversary edition (just shy of 400 pages) but it's been a fun read.

So, I've been playing #WorldsWithoutNumber lately, and for the most part it's a great #TTRPG and I've been enjoying it, but this shit is the stupidest, most ludonarratively dissonant restriction. No reasoning, no specific in-game mechanic referenced, no narrative, just:
I’m slowly getting back into working on a WWN setting I had put down a while ago. It sucks that I KNOW I don’t have the bandwidth to handle two games at the same time. Delta Green is excellent, though worldbuilding is a great way to unwind.
