Nari pushed inside first, then remembered her manners and popped back out just enough to announce, “Welcome to our house, Yoongi-ssi. Do not step on the dinosaur.” “What dinosaur?” he asked, amused and alert. “The one on the mat,” she said. “It is rubber. It will be fine”, she completed upon some consideration. He stepped carefully, found the edges of a small textured object under his sole, and entered the warm air that smelled like sesame oil and laundry and the citrus cleaner Jimin must have used that morning. It smelled like people who use things and then put them away. “Shoes to the left,” Jimin said. “Plants straight ahead. They are friendly.” “Hello,” Yoongi told the plants. “That was very polite,” Nari said, delighted. “Do you want to see my room or the kitchen first.” “Nari,” Jimin warned from the kitchen. “Let Yoongi rest.”
