When Yamato was young, he hid away in Doman trader caravans at Reunion to leave the life of the Steppes behind. Soloix, a refugee due to the Empire's presence during this time, took notice of this Xaela child and happily took him in and adopted him as his own.

For his voice specifically I wanted to show both sides of his personality. Another perfect example for a deeper tone for him would be Felix from Stray Kids. It feels like a warm hug when he's on good terms, but also that you KNEW when he was angry.

Yamato i put much more thought into than Angel. He ✨is✨ the big bad scary dog friend, but if you're able to earn his trust he is just a big ol' softie with a slightly clingy personality. He has his favorite people, people he can be himself around and not hide anything.
