Edward Guo (director) is known for his way of working and constant aesthetic style. If you want to see something of his that’s actually good, watch the film #YinYangMaster. He’s also apparently very harsh with his actors on weight/body shape which adds to the aesthetics but doesn’t make me like him.
It’s directed by the same guy who made #FangsOfFortune. He has a signature very stylistic style. But I prefer the film #YinYangMaster to FoF because it’s got soul and substance as well as all the artistic pretty. (I didn’t get on so well with FoF!)
