There is a Namibian Artifact and Craft Exhibition opening tonight at the Namibian Arts Association in Windhoek from 18h00. Entry is free.
This Weekend The National Youth Orchestra Festival is hosting two gala concerts on 20 and 21 June from 19h00 at the National Theatre of Namibia.
This event, conducted by Chritian Ludwig, will feature the world premiere of ‘Otjihambarere’, a Namibian fairytale by Eslon Hindundu. Tickets are N$150.
On 21 June there’s the ‘Breaking The Silence: Building Hope Through Connection and Suicide Prevention Education’ event at NeuriBloom Psychology Practice at Windhoek North.
The session will run from 09h30 to 12h30 and is open to adults aged 19 and above.
Psychological counsellor Ndina Kashaka will be the facilitator of the open dialogue.
This Saturday, Drag Night Namibia makes its return for the ‘One Woman Africa Renaissance Show’ at the Village Garden from 19h00. Tickets are N$160 at the door.
Also on Saturday is the Choral Concert featuring Namib Vocals and Dynamic Vocals at Namib Primary School Hall from 18h00. Entry is N$100.
Next Week
‘The Caring Namibian Man’ photo exhibition retrospective will have its closing ceremony at the Franco-Namibian Cultural Centre from 18h00 on 26 June. Entry is free.
The very popular ‘MTC Wine Extravaganza’ is back from 26 to 28 June at the Windhoek Country Club Resort. Doors open from 17h00.
On Friday, 27 June, The Museums Association of Namibia is hosting the closing event of the ‘Confronting Colonial Pasts, Envisioning Creative Futures’ project from 10h00 at a soon to be disclosed venue. Entry is free.
On the evening of 27 June you can pop into the first day of the ‘Ekuku Expo’ at Oshakati. The event will feature food, stalls, small and medium enterprise showcases and a fashion show, and will run every day till Monday, 30 June from 15h00.
The Old Apostolic Church is hosting a Dementia Awareness Run to support those affected by the condition on 28 June. There will be a 5km and 10km route from Dagbreek School from 06h30, a family fun walk from 08h30, and food stalls.

Whispers of Wellness is hosting ‘Rise and Align’ yoga classes every Monday and Wednesday between 06h00 and 07h00 at The Yoga Shala inside the Maerua Mall Lifestyle Centre.
It will cost N$130 to drop in for one class and N$100 per class for Shala members.
MTC Windhoek Go Karts is hosting Karaoke Night every Thursday between 18h00 and 22h00. Entry is free and there’s a happy hour between 19h00 and 20h00.
Every Saturday The Frontyard at Ausspanplatz is hosting a braai and open mic session.

The Ibero American Film Festival is currently taking place till 9 July at the Maerua Mall Ster Kinekor. Entry is free for several foreign film screenings.
Forever Dance Academy is hosting Kizomba and Semba dance lessons every Monday and Wednesday at 12 Hugel Street at Windhoek.
Beginners will practice between 18h30 and 19h30, while intermediate and advanced dancers have the 19h30 to 20h30 slot for both days.
One drop in lesson will cost N$100, while packages of eight lessons range between N$600 and N$700, for individuals and couples respectively.
Beyond
On 1 July The Wine Shop is hosting a tasting event from 18h30.
Entry is N$295 per person and entitles you to sampling a few wines from the Thelema Mountain Vineyards and Sutherland Vineyards and some finger food.
Gear up for ‘The Hoeked Comedy All Stars’ at the National Theatre of Namibia on 11 and 12 July, starring South African acts Loyiso Gola, Rob van Vuuren, Dillan Oliphant and Namibian funny woman Waylene Beukes.
The shows start at 18h00 and tickets are N$350.
