Maybe the problem is that I'm just too neurotic to enjoy Professional Wrestling #YsVII
This is just a general thing with this sort of story, where after the heel turn the Traitorous Villain drives it in with an over-the-top performance of sadism and calculated cruelty, but then you womp them and they go "ah it hurt my heart to do that, I'm sorry" and just, idk man #YsVII
In fairness I think I mostly just don't love stories about ~Fate~ but idk what to tell you man, I just wouldn'ta killed all those people. RIP to your tragic destiny or whatever but you just coulda not done that I feel like. #YsVII
Much like in Ys VIII I find this particular plot direction towards dire fate-of-the-world stuff to be pretty dumb, but I'm still on board overall. That said, if this game shits the bed in the same way as VIII I'm gonna be mad. #YsVII
(This particular type of twist is a thing that the Ys Writers really love that I just generally am not a fan of, but what can you do - who knows, maybe it will work for me this time #YsVII)
