All this (& much more), we do to mitigate the harms of winter because ignoring it is expensive & life-threatening.

However, most #Yukoners do not do anything to mitigate an ongoing pandemic of an injurious airborne virus.

⚠️ Which is also expensive & life-threatening.

Winter is hard to ignore, especially with a wind chill of -52 degrees Celsius ( #Whitehorse today). So most #Yukoners gird up & respond pragmatically, methodically.

But for an #OngoingPandemic, still mostly invisible, most people do absolutely nothing for themselves, or their community -

#Yukoners, who've had 2 weeks of temps in the -30s & -40s are feeling happier, & trying to forget all the kaput car batteries, stone dead cars, snow that squeaks underfoot.

Today it is -37, feels like -43 with blowing snow & ice crystals (👈 & a chance of Sundogs, when the sun is low in the sky) -
