New ‘Star Wars’ Collectible Card Game Announced
There’s another new _Star Wars_ card game in the works! Just announced on StarWars.com, the brand-new collectible card game is a collaboration between Lucasfilm Games, Zero36 Studio, and CCG Lab that will let players build decks featuring “an all-star roster” and battle in a format the franchise has yet to experience.
Cory Jones, CEO of CCG Lab, said in a statement:
> “Together with Zero36 Studio and Lucasfilm Games, we’re creating something truly exciting for players and fans alike — an experience that celebrates the joy of play in the galaxy far, far away … Our mission is to craft an experience that captures the thrill, adventure, and heart of __Star Wars__ — a game that feels instantly familiar yet constantly surprising.”
In the announcement post on X, the caption states simply “Stay tuned for future updates”; no additional details about gameplay were mentioned.
If you don’t recognize two of the three studios involved with the new game, there may be a reason. CCG Labs is a small, relative unknown in the gaming space. Founded in 2020, there is only one press release on their website (the one for this game, posted today) and the same can be found on their LinkedIn. Weirder still, it looks like the brand has no social media accounts and doesn’t have a Wikipedia page. The only other game attributed to the company is “DC Dual Force” – a free-to-play collectible card game featuring characters from _DC Comics_ that was shut down only five months after it’s official release, though, it’s worth noting that this game did not have a mobile release.

Similarly, Zero36 Studio has a very small resume. They were formed in 2024 and are a subsidiary of ByteDance – the owner of TikTok. The company has worked with large IPs like _One Piece_ and _Hatsune Miku_ but, like CCG Lab, don’t have a large internet presence.
There is currently no timeline for this new card game’s release.
