The second and third page of the zine. It has a statue of an Egyptian cat. The text says as follows. “Ancient Egypt (3150-30 BCE). Black Cats are highly revered in ancient Egyptian society. Considered Sacred, they were associated with Goddess Bastet — who was the goddess of home, fertility and childbirth. Killing a cat, even accidentally, could result in severe punishment.”

The fourth and fifth page of the zine. It has a sketch of a witch holding some toy in front of a black Cat. The text says as follows, “Medieval Europe (500-1500CE). Black Cats were associated with witches and the devil. It was believed that witches could transform into Black Cats to roam undetected. Hence they were often persecuted alongside the accused. Colonial North America (17th Century) - A black cat crossing one’s path was considered a bad omen.”
