I hesitate to say, but I am hoping against hope we can say
May the war really be over, may the hostages really come home, may the suffering in Gaza really end, may the healing finally finally begin. #ZmanSimchateinu
Love it! Here’s our very modest NYC backyard sukkah #zmansimchateinu
A small sukkah is illuminated from within with autumnal string lights and leaf cut-outs and papel picado flags. It is on a deck, about 20 feet above the ground. Behind it, a tall conifer stands alongside the full moon of Sukkot.
May there be joy in our #Sukkot, even in a year like this one. Especially in a year like this one. (Hey everbody, show me your #sukkah! I love seeing other people's sukkot all over the world.) #ZmanSimchateinu
I spent time in the park today with a bunch of other diaspora-oriented Jews, and there was klezmer music and potluck food and hot apple cider and games and the autumn light was sluicing through the leaves and neither of my children had a meltdown, who could ask for more. #zmansimchateinu
