"Abscond" packed so much emotion and empathy into its mere 38 pages, that it proves it is a work of a seriously skilled writer.

Finally, I finished reading this book—most possibly the thickest one I’ve ever read, and perhaps ever will. What a story! Aside from feeling that it dragged a bit somewhere in the middle, the way it begins and ends is truly heartbreaking. Magnificent writing!
