In my headcanon, Aeryn's and Y'shtola's romance never gets far off the ground due to their professional relationship and unfortunately timed world saving duties, but 2025 was a tough year so they get to kiss for New Year's Eve as a treat.

The first MMO I played an Aeryn character in was Ultima Online, but Final Fantasy XI was where she became a mithra (as opposed to her previous human and half-elf incarnations) and really shaped what she evolved to in FFXIV. Her FFXI form bore little resemblance to her current appearance.

Bad. Aeryn's memory was damaged when Louisoix teleported her to the Aetherial Sea to escape the Calamity of 1572. After returning to Eorzea years later, she remains forgetful but periodically experiences flashbacks of her life before the Calamity, similar to her visions from the Echo.

I associate Aeryn with the campanula flower. Lorewise, to her they represent rebirth, healing and hope. She often wears white or black campanula flowers in her hair and enjoys their soft, mint-like scent.
