The alligator is Anon-o-gator (because it has never been given a name, anonymity being its sad fate). Lucy stole Anon-o-gator from my niece's dog (Belle) the first time she (Belle) came to visit. This was years ago. Lucy has many toys, none of them in as good of shape as Anon-o-gator. There are advantages and disadvantages to be on Lucy's favorite toy list. Apparently we have an alligator that has taken up residence in the culvert down the street. This does not make me happy.

The iris of most Alligators is dark brown with tiny flecks of gold streaks running through. Every so often these crocodilians will even have greenish or even blue eyes.
