Because I was mourning my last book, it took me a little bit to get into this, but that's 100% on me because this book is amazing. By chapter 5, all I wanted to do was listen to the story (bought it on Audible). 🧵

This is going to have a huge impact on who writes YA, as well. To tell stories that are true (like #allmyrage by Sabaa Tahir) we have to be free to talk about racism.

why aren't we talking more about #allmyrage by @sabaatahir? It's a GLORIOUS read. seamlessly integrates commercial elements with "literary" (Elizabeth Bishop, searingly accurate descriptions of grief and loss, use of flashbacks to Pakistan that could have formed a novel too) 💓👋🏾
