8-Bit, Retro, evil AnemoneNo1. I don't know. It's a bit of a story on how I ended with this. After finishing my previous art work, I felt "free" to draw whatever I wanted — I had no idea what to draw though. It's been a while since I last drew AnemoneNo1, so that's the option I took. However, I wanted to take a different approach — depending on the angle you look at it from, the hair has some unique shots. Using Google to search up some funny expressions from a favorite show of mine, I chose one that displayed a character with a annoyed mood. "This would fit so well if I was drawing 8-Bit." A few hours later, I finished the rough sketch — it was originally meant to be a clean sketch that I wanted to upload on my alt account, but I liked it enough to give it an attempt to color. It was here that I decided to look up Retro from the Splatoon manga to grab their color palette (I also found out about the eyebrow fact shortly after). Since I am very terrible at shading, I didn't have high expectations of it looking good at the end. I'm glad I stuck with that mindset — it resulted in less frustration, yet I still was gaining experience for future colored drawings. I enjoyed coloring this (even if the manatee was a bit of a pain). So yeah, 8-Bit. She loves saying "slackers" :]

▪︎ Troublemaker ▪︎ ▪︎ March 24th, 2025 to August 3rd, 2025 ▪︎ ▪︎ Around late March this year, I posted some concept art of how I would go about in drawing something chibi-like, and attempted to color it — unfortunately, I didn't have the motivation to continue, resulting in me dropping it. Fast forward 4 months later, after finishing a birthday drawing for a cool artist and friend, I came across the file again. I was hesitant at first, but I loved the base sketch so much, that I decided to pick up and continue where I left off. Truly an experience — I'm not the best with colors at all, but for what it is, I'm happy how this turned out. I'm hoping to post more colored art in the future :] ▪︎

This is the first ever drawing of AnemoneNo1 I did, dating back in October 2022. Ever since AnemoneNo1 made their debut on the first Splatoon 3 trailer, they instantly became my favorite promotional character — I was thrilled to draw fanart of them soon. However, since references of the character were minimal at the time, I decided to wait until Splatoon 3 finally released before I got started on anything. It took a month to finally get all the correct gear (especially the glasses, oh goodness), but it was a satisfying feeling having access to references now. There are two versions of this drawing. The original had the glasses, but I wasn't proud on how they turned out — in the end, the 2nd version had the glasses removed. For being the first attempt drawing AnemoneNo1, I was really happy with the ending results ^^

Drawn in August 2023, this is the second AnemoneNo1 drawing I've done. It took almost a full year before I decided to draw them again due to putting my attention towards original characters. It was a great feeling drawing them again, especially after adapting a lineless art style. At first, I thought that type of style wouldn't work since some colors would blend too well to distinguish — to overcome that problem, I experimented with colors on specific features (glass and eye mask for example), and I ended up with this result. I was really proud of the end result, and I thought it was an improvement over the first drawing overall. However, I told myself I could do better — I wanted to do this character justice.

Drawn at the end of October 2023, this is the third AnemoneNo1 drawing I've ever done, and by far, the most influential. I recall wanting to do a sort of landscape theme — a sort of prairie with mountains viewable from afar, with sunrays piercing through the gray clouds. I felt like AnemoneNo1 was perfect to be a part of the idea, and I also thought it was a great idea to do a full body this time around. Unfortunately, I lost motivation when I realized how difficult it was to draw them — examples include the shoes, glasses, and especially the hair. My experience with this drawing made me realize I still have a lot of practice to do regarding AnemoneNo1's features, and it's a challenge I'm willing to take.
