Photo of rear flank of a small muscular lion. The lion has two tranquilizer darts in him. One in the upper outer right thigh and another dangerously close to, but missing his testicles, in the inner left thigh.
This one isn’t a full bum, but it is interesting.
This is a Kalahari lion (Panthera leo verneyi) that needed sedation to treat his wounds.
Unfortunately the aim of the vet wasn’t perfect but thankfully missed the most delicate of regions.
