Courage flooded my veins as I stood, took his hand, and pulled him to me. I stood on my toes to kiss him, a quick press of my mouth to his. Jackson hesitated, but only for a heartbeat. Then his hand was in my hair, pulling me flush against him as his mouth opened to mine. My fingers drifted over his collar, the scent of sweat and alcohol and sandalwood cologne filling my nose. After a long minute, Aaron cleared his throat. “People are watching,” he murmured.
