(This started as rough sketching of an idea out of order, so only a few pages were actually thumbnailed as comics)

Young (roughly teenage) Qifrey and Olruggio sitting on a rectangular comic panel as though it's a surface. Qifrey has a plank expression, whereas Olruggio seems impatient or agitated, but trying to hide it. Olruggio is tapping his heel with the SFX "tap tap tap". The title "Stop me" is written in caps underneath.

Panel 1: Olruggio groans (the noise "hurghhhh" is spelt out with his black ribbon). Qifrey: "Are you okay?" Olruggio: "Why are they taking so long? I think I'm gonna throw up" Panel 2: Qifrey: "You're not used to getting in trouble, are you?" Olruggio, looking pained: "No! (Not like this anyway)"

Panel 1: Qifrey, alone, looking fondly downwards: "Hah. I'm not surprised. I hope they'll be fair to you. I dragged you out there, after all." Panel 2: Olruggio looking wide-eyed back at him. Panel 4: Olruggio now grasping Qifrey's hands with his own. Olruggio: "You don't HAVE to ask."

Panel 1: Olruggio brings their clasped hands up between them, he looks at their hands as he speaks. The two are encircled in a panel made of Olruggio's ribbon. Olruggio: "I'm your best friend, Qifrey. It's my job to keep you out of trouble." Panel 2: Qifrey looking shocked. Olruggio looks back at him determined. Olruggio continues: "And if I can't- then it's to handle that trouble by your side. Nothing you could ask for would ever be too much. If it's me. If it's for you."

I've become a little addicted to bumpy noses and cheekbones

And we're all bought in - so you are, once again, presuming much of your position in this family." "Even father? Durz?" Faith had never had much place with his mother or the rest of his siblings, but the two of them were clerics for gods' sake. Their belief was a part of them. No meagre promise from the Absolute should change that. "Surely they didn't abandon Gruumsh so easily?" Hogarth rolls his eyes. They return twice as scathing to Symon's face. "Durz's been abandoning Gruumsh for years, Symon. But regardless of their doubts, they don't abandon family."
