"Los Santos... It sure was the adventure of my lifetime... Goodbye, Friends..." As his body sinks deeper into the sea and he's losing consciousness, the shadow of two giant hands seem to gently catch him.
As the hands lift him up to the water's surface, light filters through, and he turns to moss.
Ashkariel's hands lif him off the water, Carlisle has turned into a marimo. He wakes up surprised, as Ash's voice says "Welcome Home, Carlisle"
