The results are in and all participants in the Alfreton Home Education group achieved Arts Award Bronze! A huge well done to everyone for such a strong set of portfolios and big thanks to Black Shale LCEP for support and funding for this opportunity.

This week I started working with the Home Ed group in Alfreton where a group of young people are aiming to complete their Bronze Arts Awards. We started with cyanotype photography looking at its history and examples of artists working with the process.

Drama and mask-making with Nottingham Virtual School In February 2025, six young people from Nottingham achieved their Arts Award Discover after a day of acting, mask-making and performance.

We want to send our congratulations to the six young people from Nottingham Virtual School who all achieved their #ArtsAward Discover earlier this year! They learnt so much about acting and mask-making by working with our associate artist Pady O’Connor:

As a trained Arts Award adviser I recently I supported 9 young people on their Arts Award journey during Pedestrian's 'Concept' project in Leicester. Not only did they achieve Arts Award but also created a group album of original music, a very busy bunch!

Great news to start the year. All participants involved in the Callum's Voice Arts Award sessions have achieved 'Explore' level! I had great fun working with the group and the reflections in their personal logs really highlight the power that creativity has to connect us.
