Composite image of the 9% lit crescent Moon passing through the frame of my camera on 21 March 2026. The Moon displays earthshine, which is the unlit portion of the Moon being lit by reflected light from the Earth. Passing thin clouds result in the Moon having subtly different colours for each shot.
The #AstronomyWeather for my local patch - results for March 2026:
Clear sky: 6 nights
Partly cloudy sky: 10 nights
Overcast sky: 15 nights
Slightly below average results but not too bad for the time of year. Some nice #Moon shots captured this month.
