Aulë has red hair and beard, both braided, grey red skin with a chalck coloured forhead, and blue hands sprouting crystal as well on his shoulder and on his head like horns. He is wearing a golden belt, hair rings for his beard, earrings, and a hammer. His feet, too are made of gold, and he is wearing a white apron. His eyes are yellow with blue for his pupil. He has small white flowers in his hair.

Yavanna´s skin is made of bark; she is smiling and has her hands over her chest. She is wearing golden jewelry and small bells on the branches of her head. Her eyes are purple and light yellow, and her hair is leaves with flowers.

Since we're having fun with Tolkien art here, lets keep it rolling. My depiction of #Aulë creating the dwarves. I imagined a volcanic scenery (literally "fire and rock") and Aulë being covered in skin that resembles a folded steel pattern. The dwarves themselves are born out of a giant steel block.

#Aulë and #Yavannah were two of #Tolkien 's #Valar who sniped at each other like an old married couple, even in their early days. She ended up ignoring him in her greenhouse, and he ignored her in his workshop. Thus setting the tone that would be the saviour of marriages for generations to come.

…I can remember one of my parents saying #Aulë the Maker - wrought two mighty lamps for the lighting of Middle-Earth which he had built amid the encircling seas. The lamps were filled with a great light & set upon high pillars taller than any mountain, one near to the north & the other to the south.
