A "shaka" of quokkas (yes that is the correct collective noun, not something I dreamed up!) close up pic of a dozen or so quokkas all crowded together very eagerly looking at the camera. I imagine they're being tempted to pose with some kind of edible treat, but then again quokkas are renowned worldwide for being very happy little marsupials (although, much like most human aussies!, if sufficiently provoked quokkas can and do switch from their default laid-back "chill mode" into fierce creatures that will bite you)

UPDATE: first foray of my #Vegemite hunt was unsuccessful. I tried a market shop that stocks tonnes of preserves, spreads, etc. and the local fancy-import gourmet deli, and a national chain supermarket.
