A Great Blue Heron taking flight from the shallows of a pond. This beautiful bird ending up landing not far from me to fish. It was an incredible moment that happened the day after my father died. I had gone to the pond for healing and was given just that. ᎧᎾᏍᎪᏩ (kanasgowa) is the Cherokee word for Great Blue Heron.
