Photograph taken in autumn a few years ago. Picture quality isn't the best but the scene is lovely. Taken on a day visit to Rivington on the Pennine Hills in Lancashire where there are some beautiful archways, bridges, and towers nestled within the forest areas. Image shows an arched window built from stones lined up in a fan shape (no glass or frame). The bottom edge has a large flat piece of stone. Looking through the arch you can see the forest beyond. The trees are starting to get their autumnal colours. In the centre are two trees which seem to be almost entwined like they are dancing. Glimpses of white sky beyond and sunlight lightens everything.

Photograph taken in a forest area on the lower levels of the Pennine hills in Lancashire last summer. Do so love to head out for a wander to clear the mind and reconnect. On the way down I found this area where the sunlight was finding its way through the green-leafed trees. There were three yellow poppies basking in the dappled light which stood out against the two old upright fence posts. Crouched down and took a photo from the shaded ground beneath the green bracken, looking up.
