Top to bottom: sky, fells in the distance, layer upon layer of conifers with larches turning golden and some deciduous trees, an island in the tarn, the tarn with reflections, trees on the edge of the tarn some having lost leaves and the lower path circling the tarn. I took this from the upper path, which also circles the tarn, along with many more photos because of the fantastic colours on that day. If ever you go I would recommend the upper path as it gives a view of the higher fells in the distance.
