A big juicy, fat middle finger to the driver who was parked on the bike lane right on the corner on Scott at McRae, where I nearly got right hooked into the next dimension recently. Bonus pickup parked next to the building, making a nice tight squeeze thru.

Hi I take it you were half listening to my delegation at committee regarding the dedicated bus lanes on Bank Street. My contention was spending money on dedicated lanes when the whole system is struggling seems unwise and unlikely to improve transit.
I love it when I rate Glebe businesses I used to visit, based on their support for parking, and they reply this way

Delays and bans could lead to aggressive driving, and drivers ignoring restrictions
Create new safety issues like rear-end collisions or conflicts with pedestrians

"How dare you stop at the red light, punt cyclist?!" - Angry pick-up #autowa wankpanzer (QC plate 83G AGW) driver who honked at me for stopping at the red light when he wanted to turn right on red (probably), even though there was a crossing pedestrian and oncoming traffic with the green light.
Ok #ottawa/ #autowa: I know jumping to conclusion is not constructive but when pattern develops based on past driving-related misconduct for still-inexperienced driver with pending drunk driving charge, then you are charged with hit-n-run (vehicular manslaughter?) and hire « that » lawyer, I think🤔

I honestly wish that house wasn't there, so the curb could extend the entire length of the block.
F150 are 45% more likely to be involved in a pedestrian or cycling death. Huge pick up trucks are a visibility nightmare.
Study after study shows this but grills and hoods get bigger.

TBH, we’ve seen more people out atrolling around this morning than I’ve ever seen in a clutch of weekends
And as for the constant #Autowa question of “parking”, that whole square is a parking lot … all underground
