I wish on AWS I could….
Add it to the #awswishlist

#awswishlist Let me schedule RDS RI buys, or at least configure auto-renewals!
The auto-renew feature in Azure is such a timesaver.
I would love Amazon Aurora DSQL to allow you to save queries in the Cluster Explorer query window.
The amount of times I write some SQL and lose it (especially when the console times out and you need to reconnect!)

Will try again later when I have more time. Still waiting on Kiro.
If I’m in the US and have all but two regions denied in my SCPs I don’t want the console trying to connect to Asia, Africa, Europe, Canada, and Latin America every time I open it. Also Adobe. AWS in my current region only, please. #awswishlist
AWS console needs to support longer TXT records for DKIM 2048. #awswishlist
🤯 "The default version of a launch template cannot be specified in AWS CloudFormation. The default version can be set in the Amazon EC2 console or ..."
Why oh why? Because it would be too convenient to use the CloudFormation resource AWS::EC2::LaunchTemplate to do so?
#awswishlist #awscommunity
Amazon Q in console needs a stop button. #awswishlist
If regions are disallowed in an SCP policy do not allow the AWS console to connect to domains or IP addresses in those regions.

Is something in a remote AWS account is trying to use my customer managed KMS key I want to see that in my logs in the account where the KMS key exists.
#awswishlist
I want to use my customer-managed prefix list in IAM policy sourceIP conditions in IAM policies, trust policies, and resource policies so I can update my prefix list and then access all the things from my IP after that one change. #awswishlist

#awswishlist let me schedule RDS RI buys the same way I can schedule EC2
What I want: run my containers on ec2 as runners. Not AWS Batch (too complicated), lambda (my solution for MFA for batch jobs does not work among other things) or AWS managed containers (cost, etc). My containers on EC2 and lock down network on both sides of the process. #awswishlist #gitlabwishlist
AWS ECR pull-through cache repos should support Dockers "library" images #awswishlist
Instead of `docker pull ...ecr.../mirror/library/alpine` it should work with `docker pull ...ecr.../mirror/alpine`
That makes prefixing much easier and less confusing...
Starting to see this warning in my AWS IAM console
While I appreciate the notice, it's IAM that's forcing me to use "*" when using conditions key eg. aws:PrincipalOrgID
I wish there was a better/limited way to specify a principal in my org #awswishlist
Hello, We are contacting you because you have recently used model ID 'anthropic.claude-3-sonnet-20240229-v1:0' [1] on Amazon Bedrock. Since Anthropic has launched newer models, Claude 3.5 Sonnet v2 and Claude 3.5 Haiku v1 [2], we will be deprecating the older Anthropic Claude model ('Claude 3 Sonnet v1’) in us-east-1, us-west-2, eu-central-1, eu-west-3, eu-west-1 regions on Bedrock. Starting July 21, 2025, Claude 3 Sonnet v1 model will no longer be operational on Amazon Bedrock [3]. We recommend migrating your usage to model IDs 'anthropic.claude-3-5-sonnet-20241022-v2:0' or 'anthropic.claude-3-5-sonnet-20240620-v1:0', or 'anthropic.claude-3-5-haiku-20241022-v1:0' by updating your application code [4].
So if you use a model with Amazon Bedrock, you can basically plan on having to manually update your LLM endpoints in code every so often or your app will break?
#awswishlist: a Lambda "$LATEST" equivalent, since for many uses cases we just want to not have to think about it again.
Share an EIP with AWS RAM #awswishlist
Hard to believe you can’t share AMIs through AWS Resource Access Manager. #awswishlist
Two docker pull commands for ECR. One with the library prefix works while the other fails. But both should work ideally. ✅ docker pull 123456789012.dkr.ecr.eu-central-1.amazonaws.com/mirror/docker-hub/library/alpine ❌ docker pull 123456789012.dkr.ecr.eu-central-1.amazonaws.com/mirror/docker-hub/alpine
Hopefully #awswishlist works here as well: I want that the ECR PullThrough cache makes the `library` path for official images transparent
Currently it fails if the library prefix is missing but tools often allow only to set one prefix and that breaks for official images.
All I want for Christmas is RDS Savings Plans #awswishlist
#awswishlist a tool that advises you on the commit to make when you're swapping expiring RIs into SP coverage. Like, these 1000 m5.larges and 1500 t3.nanos = $X/hr commit.
I do the math myself but I'd rather have a tool do it for me. I frequently have dozens of instance families I'm dealing with.
Every so often someone makes the same terrible discovery.
You can set a lifecycle policy but that’ll incur a transition cost for every object post-upload. It’s inefficient.
Please fix.
#awswishlist
Maybe they could integrate this into the S3 console so customers might more easily update text data without a manual download-edit-upload cycle? #awswishlist
My #awswishlist is for a compare costs feature for calculator.aws Right now you can create groups and put your various cost scenarios in there, but I want a proper comparison tool
CloudFront now logs to CloudWatch, I try to enable it, get hit with "Supplied Policy document is breaching Cloudwatch Logs policy length limit"
This weird account-level resource policy has got to go. #awswishlist Log Group resource policy associated with the log group itself
I really like this deep integration of OpenTelemetry in the AWS SDK for .NET 😍
OpenTelemetry is awesome, add it to all SDKs please! #awswishlist

I find it very frustrating that IPv4 on AWS costs big $$$ (NAT and IP addresses), but building an IPv6-only VPC is practically impossible.
Especially because it's AWS service endpoints that require IPv4.
#awswishlist: native IPv6 support for all AWS services - lead by example!
#awswishlist: Put the "Savings Plans" and "Reservations" collapsed sections at the bottom of the billing sidebar behind a door and ideally a leopard; collapsing & putting them last just doesn't hide them well enough.
#awswishlist: I want to kick the tires on a P5 instance. The only instance limits on the first page of Service Quotas are spot instances. Feels like there's a better sort order than strictly alphabetical here, though I know not what...
