Accidentally Right and Other News I've got a fun story from my writing this week, which conveniently doubles as exposition for what I got up to as well. So I've been working on my story for the Iron Horses in the Sky submissions, which I will note is set in the Axtara universe (I really need to come up with a better name for it than that at this point) but earlier in the timeline, perhaps around the time she's an egg or even before.

Axtara 3 Enters Alpha! Hey folks! Got some cool news for the Holiday season here: Axtara - Armies and Accounting has official entered the first round of Alpha Editing. Invites have been sent out, Alpha Readers have access, and the first bits of feedback on Axtara's third adventure have begun to trickle in! Unfortunately, that's almost all the positive news? I'll note that I'll be taking my usual Christmas to New Year's break soon, which is further made a big deal by the fact that I'll be out of town and spending time with family for Christmas.

Paperback Price Changes, Patreon Changes, and General Musings Wow. What a week. Or rather, what a series of weeks. Things lately have been ... chaotic. As you're about to see. Let's start with the paperback price changes. I recently was informed that due to low prices on Axtara - Banking and Finance, bookstores were no longer willing to stock it. This is because it was at a price point made almost half a decade ago, a price point which has now been punched twice—first in the general, boxerish sort of way by general inflation, and then by a sucker punch to the back due to the Trump Tariffs.

Read the second volume in the #Axtara series by Max Florschutz. It was a fun, exciting read, and the interplay between the #dragon Axtara and the #princess Mia was enjoyable. I'll keep an eye out for the third book.

Doing some trimming on the opening chapters to the draft for "Axtara - Armies and Accounting" before setting it aside to rest (as I suspected in light of personal events that the opening was quite rough, and I was right). I've tightened 17,000 words down into 7,000. Not bad.

The Post-LTUE Week Hey folks! How's your week been? Good, I hope? Mine's been an interesting mix of emotions. I’m Back and Getting Back To Things – A News Post, an OP-ED, Plus a Topic Call, and New Fanart! Well, from the title you might have an inkling of what this post is about. And you'd be totally correct—no deception meant here! So, let's get down to it! After all, it's been a hot minute since the last update! The Thanksgiving Trip So to start, yes, I'm back from my Thanksgiving trip, and yes, it was fantastic. I got to spend a ton of time with family, especially my nephews and my niece, which amounted to going to parks, playing games, hitting up the NASA Space Center Museum, and reading lots and lots of children's books (at one point nearly a dozen in a single sitting, five of which were rereads).
