Well drawing impromptu in a sketchbook isn't the best way to do a comic, but it's amazing how it has recharged me.

Coming off of drawing a whole-ass comic I wanted to some fan-art, but ended up drawing another Genshin Impact Yonkoma. This time I decided to experiment with flat-colouring.

A section of a Google Doc. The text reads: Ayaka’s hands are beautiful. She takes meticulous care of them, just as she does with every other thing in her life. She owns a variety of creams and lotions for the purpose. Her skin is smooth, and her touch is gentle. To others, her hands must look exceedingly soft, and they are. But on her right hand, there’s a small callus along the mound of flesh at the bottom of her thumb, from years of gripping a sword. Lumine picks up Ayaka's hand and kisses the spot gently. She gets to know this secret. They’re sitting along the riverbank in the Chinju Forest. Water flows softly over the stones. The flowers are glowing in the moonlight. They’ve brought a small lantern, but the flickering ring of light seems pointless given how bright it is tonight beneath the stars. “You always kiss that spot,” Ayaka points out. She’s leaning against Lumine, her hair loose around her shoulders. She’s dressed simply tonight. It feels good to dispense with the fancy clothes she wears day to day. They’re beautiful, an honor to wear, but sometimes she needed a break from the weight. “I just like it,” Lumine says. “Do you want me to stop?” Ayaka considers for a moment. “No. But if you don’t give me my hand back, I won’t be able to finish this.” She holds up what she’s been working on; a length of flowers meticulously twisted together. Lumine releases her hand, and Ayaka settles back into a comfortable rhythm, picking up blossoms from the small pile next to her. She hums while she works. She’s never so vocal around others. Lumine closes her eyes and listens.

Ayaka adjusts it with a determined expression until it’s straight. “There we go. It looks good on you.” Lumine touches the flower crown gently. The petals are soft and papery. "I don't get to see it," she complains. She leans forward and looks into the stream, but only the glimmer of moonlight was reflected back, her face lost in the swirls of water. Her pouting face, Ayaka thinks, is adorable. "You'll just have to trust my judgment then, won't you?" She says, and pokes Lumine's arm. "I didn't pack a mirror, after all." "I'll just wear it until I'm home!" Lumine announces.
