#beforewewereyours ch 3. This chapter was sooooo booorrring. I don't care about rich people campaigning to keep their senatorial seat or the MC being the "smart daughter" and maybe/maybe not being groomed to take her father's place. I don't care that she's chafing against expectations.

Oh no, this is a changing perspective book, where every ch is 1st person and you just have to remember the narrator based on the name at the front of the chapter.

Avery is with her senator father celebrating an elderly woman's 100th bday & is approached by an old woman.

Prologue: CW: stillbirth.
Good imagery of a hot, humid August day in a labor and delivery ward of a hospital in the 1930's. I'm glad there's not too much time spent on the stillbirth of the baby, and oh, I would've been horrified if I woke up to no baby.

The WOT ebooks are STILL not on my e-reader (I have a feeling I know how to do it but am being lazy), so I'm going to read a book my mom lent me about 6 months ago that she probably wants back: "Before We Were Yours" by Lisa Wingate.
