It’s unusually dry and warm at the moment, but not consecutively warm enough to give my collection it’s first drink. Until then I’ll keep misting them in the evenings of the sunniest days. Fortunately, it doesn’t seem to bother this #cleistocactusstrausii. #belgiumhardgrown #cactus
G. kieslingii occurs in the provinces Catamarca & La Rioja, Argentina between altitudes of 500-1700m. The reddish brown epidermis is due to winter dormancy stress and very bright light. When I got it, it was dark green. #gymnocalycium #gymnocalyciumkieslingii #belgiumhardgrown #cactus
