The San Diego Bird Festival kicked off today. I joined about 60 other birders on a walk along the San Diego River mouth at low tide. We got great views of Reddish egrets and an Eurasian Wigeon but the Short-billed Gull that has been there regularly lately eluded us. #birds #sandiego #birdfestival 🪶
