𝗣𝗶𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗘𝗻𝗴): Two Eurasian coots, presumably males, are fiercely fighting, clashing and pushing each other with their feet while flapping their wings to maintain their position. These fights serve to establish hierarchy, choose a mate, and secure the safest nesting site. The image is from a distance and not very clear. It was taken from a public bird hide on the shore of one of the lagoons in the complex. 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝗰𝗶𝗼́𝗻 (𝗘𝘀𝗽): Dos fochas, presuntamente machos, pelean con ferocidad enfrentándose la una a la otra empujándose con sus patas, mientras aletean para mantener la posición. Estos combates sirven para establecer la jerarquía, elegir pareja y tener el sitio más seguro donde construir el nido. La imagen es muy lejana y no lo suficientemente nítida. Das Foto zeigt einen erwachsenen Blässhuhn und sein Küken, die auf der Oberfläche eines Gewässers schwimmen. Das erwachsene Blässhuhn hat ein glänzend schwarzes Gefieder, einen leuchtend weißen Schnabel und eine weiße Blesse auf der Stirn. Sein Kopf ist abgerundet und es scheint aufmerksam in Richtung des Kükens zu schauen. Das Küken ist deutlich kleiner und hat ein flaumiges, dunkelgraues bis schwarzes Gefieder. Sein Schnabel ist orange-rot und es hat einige gelbliche oder orangefarbene Federn um den Kopf und Hals, was auf sein junges Alter hindeutet. Das Küken hat seinen Schnabel leicht geöffnet, möglicherweise um nach Futter zu betteln oder zu piepsen. Beide Vögel befinden sich in trübem, grünlich-braunem Wasser, das die umgebende Vegetation und den Himmel reflektiert. Einige grüne Pflanzenstängel ragen aus dem Wasser im Hintergrund auf. Das Licht scheint von oben zu kommen und erzeugt sanfte Reflexionen auf der Wasseroberfläche. Die Szene wirkt natürlich und ruhig und fängt einen Moment der elterlichen Fürsorge in der Tierwelt ein.
