Am linken Bildrand streckt ein gewaltiger Elefant dem Betrachter seinen Rüssel entgegen. Er steht links unterhalb einer Autobahn-Brücke, die im weiten Bogen einen Fluss überquert. Gegen die rechte Flanke des Elefanten torkelt eine Frau mit einem Thyrsos-Stab. Ihr Rock trägt ein Muster aus Weinranken. Rechts unterhalb der Brücke steht ein asketischer Mann der Frau gegenüber.Er Stützt die Brücke mit seinen Händen ab (oder tut nur so als ob), während von rechts ein Schiffsbug ins Bild fährt. Der bärtige Atlas trägt Bequem-Hosen und Pantoffeln. Zwischen ihm, der Frau und einer Menge Abfall sitzt eine Katze. Die in Untersicht dargestellte Brücke ist reich verziert und besitzt unterhalb der Fahrbahn einen verglasten Raum, in dem ein Organist gerade Kirchen-Orgel spielt. An der Breitseite des vordersten Brückenpfeilers ist einem Mühlrad ähnlich eine Scheibe angebracht, auf der hüpfende Männchen abgebildet sind. Im Zentrum der Scheibe zeigt eine Libelle "fünf nach 12".
