Managed to catch this little fellow before he got back into the cover of the plants. Due to me having to aim focus and shoot fast it’s turned out to be a blurd rather than a bird 😜.

It's great fun. My record is 11 too. I heard a haunting "whooo" noise the other morning and Merlin said it was Tawny Frogmouth!
I'd never seen one before, but my brother found one on a branch right next to the garden that arvo. Bloody stick birds!

Streaks everywhere, streaks on the screen. You can just make out the shore of the North Creek wetland, some sticks, and rocks ... and a great blue heron moving at impossible speeds to evade camera capture! It's a blurd (blurred bird). OMG. It's ok, there's nothing wrong with your eyes, or my camera either. This episode is just a figment of our wildlife imaginations.
