The usual lesser egret was fishing below the sea front this morning. I saw it catch 2 fish, but it was too quick for my rudimentary camera skills to get me a sharp picture in either case. #blurredbirds

It was a frustrating walk this morning: I heard loads of birds, saw far fewer & managed to take decent pictures of fewer still. I've got lots of #blurredbirds pics though, inlcuding these two: a great tit and a spotted flycatcher.

Any ideas as to what this is? It never came out of the bushes. It's tiny - I thought when I saw it that it might be a wren but that beak doesn't look right. There are nest boxes all around so it could be a fledgling of some kind. #blurredbirds

I thought I had a really great picture lined up here: a black redstart with an insect in its mouth & a spider's web on the adjacent branch, but the damned bird went & shook its head just as I clicked the shutter. #birds #blurredbirds
