Dear Kevin,
My name is Oprah Winfrey, founder of Oprah’s Book Club.
I’m writing to you personally with news I believe you’ll value as a storyteller who blends humour, magic, and emotional truth. Your book, Grayson’s Magical Mishaps, has been selected by readers in our community as a potential Oprah’s Book Club pick.
This recognition comes directly from engaged readers who actively read, reflect, and share the books that delight them while also touching something deeper. In our discussions, your work stood out for its wit, warmth, and the conversations it inspired about self-acceptance, young love, and learning how to own who you are, even when things don’t go according to plan.
Readers especially responded to the way magic becomes a metaphor for growing up: the misfires, the fear of being exposed, and the realization that courage and honesty matter just as much as power.
I’d be glad to share more about what this selection involves, how the process works, and the next steps. If you’re open to continuing the conversation, simply reply Next steps.
Warm regards,
Oprah Winfrey
Founder, Oprah’s Book Club
A lot of #authors are getting scam emails like this, but this is the first time I've seen someone pretending to be #Oprah.
If I was lucky enough to be considered for Oprah's Book Club, this wouldn't be the work she'd consider.
