A Brush Bronzewing walking along a gravel driveway. This bird has a grey chest, a rich warm brown scarf-shaped panel around the shoulder, a cooler mid brown across back and wings. On his wings he has panels of almost luminescent blue. At the head he has an orange patch on top, with a black horizontal stripe through his eye, a thin white stripe below.
Another pic through the kitchen window. This guy, a Brush #Bronzewing, seems desperate to set up home here with a mate. For around 3 weeks he’s been oooom ooooming, barely pausing for breath, dawn to dusk. (Don’t know about him, but it’s exhausting me.) #birds #WildOz #Nature #birding #Tasmania
