Dinky Toy refurb' - Maghull's Frank Hornby Heritage Centre, Merseyside UK. A dustcart - Dinky 252 from 1950's - it came to us falling to bits. A BR Class 86 Electric loco once carried 'Frank Hornby' nameplates. Comedian Ken Dodd unveiled them at Liverpool's Lime St Station - 1986. This shows 1 of the set of 4 plates. We have a full set on display at Maghull's Frank Hornby Heritage Centre, Merseyside UK #bsmuseums

The Vauxhall Cresta is from 1955, the Fiat 2300 Station Wagon 1962, the Hesketh F1 Racing Car from 1977. #bsmuseums

It's in mint condition with receipt for purchase (by John's Uncle) from Lucas's Hobbies Liverpool. Thank you John for donating such a great model to our Trust. #bsmuseums

Maghull's Frank Hornby Heritage Centre (Merseyside, UK) is delighted that the Hornby plaque has been put back in prominent public view at Liverpool Lime Street Station. Hornby was born on the adjacent Copperas Hill but his house was demolished when the station was enlarged many years ago. #bsmuseums

Last days of Liverpool’s Meccano Factory Dinky worked on 2 cars from the New Avengers. In 1978 a Triumph TR7 was produced in Purdey livery. Maghull’s Frank Hornby Heritage Centre has one. The Steed Jag' did not see the light of day but both made it into the final (1978) Dinky Catalogue. #bsmuseums
