Paul Brest Hall at Stanford was jammed with people this week as hundreds of actors, writers, musicians and digital artists showed up to tell lawmakers they are done being kept in the dark about how artificial intelligence is trained on their work.

Stanford hosts special hearing to discuss AI and copyright protections On Monday, Stanford University hosted a special hearing to discuss issues surrounding the bill known as the AI Copyright Transparency Act - OR AB-412.

Danny Lin, an animator and president of The Animation Guild (Local 839). Lin said in her testimony that she saw the creative sectors of Hollywood “bleeding out before her very eyes” due to the industry’s increased reliance on generative AI.

'ONE RULE': Trump says he'll sign an executive order blocking state AI laws despite bipartisan pushback | TechCrunch “I will be doing a ONE RULE Executive Order this week,” Trump posted on social media. “You can’t expect a company to get 50 Approvals every time they want to do something.”

Washington is about to sign an EO to stop all states from creating any new bills regulating AI.
States can sue under the 10th amendment.
