Several characters from Inanimate Insanity are stood in a lineup celebrating Christmas. Candle is giggling as Silver Spoon sings Christmas carols, Cabby and Bot are helping Yinyang put the star on the tree, Lightbulb is tangled in Christmas tree lights and her shenanigans are making Paintbrush giggle, Tea Kettle baked cookies for Goo, and Paper and OJ are kissing beneath the mistletoe. Some of the characters are dressed in winter gear. Candle, Paintbrush, Tea Kettle, and OJ all have ugly Christmas sweaters, Silver Spoon has a scarf and earmuffs, Cabby has a scarf, Bot and Paper both have Christmas bows, and Goo has scented pine cones inside himself.

It is worth noting that after Paintbrush tells Cabby that Lightbulb gave them "the courage to start taking those leaps"— “in logic”, that is— the example she uses in an attempt to convince Paintbrush that she understands how Lightbulb “gave them more” is an observable fact. Lightbulb *did* give Baxter to Paintbrush to hold onto, and we the audience see the emotional significance of that scene, but Cabby unintentionally sidesteps the emotional and fails to supplement the point Paintbrush was making. She doesn’t understand what Paintbrush means when they say Lightbulb gave them the “courage to start taking those leaps” because she doesn’t understand being okay with not understanding the reason behind why someone is doing something. It is the same reason why not understanding why Test Tube voted her out hurts her so much.

Cabby is good at identifying patterns in people's behaviour. This is a good foundation for understanding what kind of person someone is and figuring out why they do certain things, but she struggles with people and situations she can’t fully explain or predict. Cabby’s impression of Lightbulb, for example, is reminiscent of how Paintbrush (and her other teammates) used to see her. The unpredictability and apparent absence of reason for much of Lightbulb’s actions leads her to dismiss Lightbulb’s antics as “wacky nonsense”, and while she doesn’t resent Lightbulb for this, she also underestimates her in the same way Lightbulb’s teammates used to.

The people who Cabby approaches first to try to befriend, Test Tube and Paintbrush, are both people Cabby sees as being similar to herself— this makes them safer and easier to understand, and a part of her hopes this means they will in turn understand her. But the characters who she ends up being “unlikely” friends with— Floory, YinYang and Bot— are people she sees as opposition to that. Awesome that the phrasing “leap in logic” first appears earlier in the episode, in reference to something said by YinYang, a character Cabby once said she would need to distance herself from to have any predictability in her gameplay.
